Lots of echo&stereo work. The possibility of vinyl/cd printing got me thinking. The main difference between cd music and modules is the fx part And it's no wonder, because it's alot of work to do echo/stereo and other fx in a tracker. I tell you, it would be nice to have an echo editor for each instrument. The overal quality among modules would get much better, and I am almost positive it wouldn't be too much work to add echo edit in Impulse tracker. With the possibility of letting notes cont. when a new note is reached is excactly what is needed. What must be done is to tell the tracker to play several notes per each entered in the track - with decreasin volume and different panning. All editable for the user. (How many echos, volume and panning types.) Just think of it. We'r closing to cd quality. A big problem is the lazy soundcards we use though. But if you are thinking of printing to cd, there isn't any problem really. Just write the module as wav using cubic player or Impuls tracker, and write the sound digitally to cd with cd-r. If you're using samples digitaly ripped from your cdrom then the sound never goes through your soundboard. (Only when you are composing it.) CooL, eh? =o) Got you thinking now. ~~~~~~~~~bye for now, ~~~~~~~~~ ~~vildauget
